Little brother, big sister

Little Brother, Big Sister – 25cm x 20cm – Oil on Panel

ENG – Even though I paint mostly still life here in my tiny little studio, I want to be a painter that can paint any subject, especially figures. So here’s a starter. As usual, it took longer than I expected… all in all about 6 hours I think. In any case, this painting tells me that there is a very long road ahead… very long. Well, I’m off to see our kids perform at the anual school party!

Oh Johan I love this! the brush strokes are beautiful and the painting has a really nice feel about it, it’s easy to tell that there these are your kids, because there is love in this painting :). A long road ahead is a good thing; it means more time to paint – and you are definitely on the best road 🙂

      Hey Annette, you’re so right!
Our littlest boy, Elias, is being spoiled and his older brother Lars and sisters Inèz and Amber take good care of him. I tell the girls that if they love him enough, he will return the favour one day… when he is a big guy 😀

I’m very glad that there is a long road ahead for me. It only means I will have plenty of learning opportunities, and chances to enjoy the beauty of figurative painting.

Hope all is well at the other side of the world!
