Lemon - Oil on MDF - 20cm x 20cm

I was at the grocery store when I suddenly felt the need to buy a lemon. I had no idea why. I never buy lemons. The girls at home don't really like them. It was stronger than myself, maybe I was compelled to buy it, only to paint it. That's what happened. I painted it. Then I sliced it and ate 2 slices. It's sour taste brings back memories. My mum used lemon in her cooking. I would often eat the 2nd half of the lemon she did not need for her supper. She would yell something at me, waving her wooden spoon. I would not hear what she said. I was consumed by the feeling of victory, running outside to play with the dog.
